Solar systems

I plan to spend a good deal of time off the grid, i need input on the best bang for the buck solor charging system.
our rig is a 07 Travel Supereme ME 42 with lots of power draw !

My input is that you must first perform an energy audit/study. Document your typical electrical "needs". You can then apply a few reasonably accurate rules of thumb to know what you "need" from a photovoltaic system as well as a storage system (battery bank).

I am a fan of the higher voltage residential panels as, in my VERY limited experience, they seem to produce power earlier and later in the day as well as under cloudy conditions. This then requires an MPPT controller which is a bit more expensive but worth it (my opinion).
