Solutions for TV reception

Anyone use Comcast/Xfinity to view TV in their RV. We are new to RVing and looking for TV solutions while traveling. I see several rigs with Dish/Direct mounts. Pros and Cons?? Thanks for your tips!

We use direct tv with a Kvh satellite dish.

Many Rv parks have cable hookup. So that's our second choice.

We have a tv antenna which gets HHS local channels. It works great also. But not to many channels.

Welcome to the Forum!
For your first post...Would need more info.

But, if I understand your question...it's like "Can I use the Internet to watch my Comcast TV account from the road?" From: Comcast - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That is really a question based on your selection of mobile internet access...and there are a lot of "buts" about that...
...Many campgrounds offer WiFi to guests but it is often slow or over burdened.
...3G/4G WiFi hotspots from your cell phone company are reliable in populated areas where there is good cell coverage, but usually charge per use for data.

I think this is really a system for the home - right?

We have a Dish Pay-as-you-go account for RV TV (plans from under $30).
DISHForMyRV: DISH Mobile Satellite Systems & Pay-As-You-Go TV for RV, Tailgating, & the Great Outdoors
For internet, we use the free WiFi as available and default to an AT&T IPad and an IPhone 4S w/ Hotspot from Verizon. Having different companies for 3G is sometimes a blessing due to coverage gaps.

These are the main stream options for RV's, but still have problems with gaps in coverage.

That's all I got...best of luck

Hi mtfawcett,
Welcome to iRV2. To keep this simple, determine if Direct TV or Dish meets your need and go that route for TV. This way you know the channels you'll have every time you stop. CG cable = who knows what you will get. For me, forget the data solution mentioned in the OP. The cost is not worth the irritation.
