Sony Rear View Monitor - Quit working in Reverse

'06 Tiffin 38 TDB (Workhorse Chassis):

Sony Color Monitor VCB-MHD1

I removed my right side dash panel to add AUX-in Audio feed to the radio. In the process I disconnected several things to better access the radio without pulling on or creating stress on existing wiring of other components, i.e. HVAC control, Rear View Monitor, etc, etc.

All components worked as normal before removing the panel.

After completion, Now when I put the RV in reverse with the engine running, the rear camera losses video; it still has audio. After removing the dash panel again and tracing wires, here's what I found:

Three electrical wires.
1 - (white) 12V fussed wire hot when ignition is on.
2 - (black) ground wire.
3 - (green) connected to a buss that has 12v only when engine is running and gear shift in reverse.

Before I removed the panel to work on radio the rear monitor worked without problem. I only have a rear camera and the camera coax is connected to the center camera on rear of monitor.

Here's the confusion! During the troubleshooting process when I disconnect the Reverse trigger (green wire) the rear camera works as advertised??

Does anyone have either an installation diagram or owners manual that shows how the wiring should be connected?

Maybe the green wire was not making contact with the Reverse trigger and when I reinstalled everything it now does?

Perhaps the electrical plug on the rear of the monitor is incorrectly wired? It's a 5 wire plug but only three wires are connected. Maybe the reverse trigger wire is on the incorrect plug stud?

Any help is appreciated!!

p.s. - for now I'm leaving the reverse trigger disconnected, since it works correctly without it!!

I'm not familiar with your backup system but it sounds like a wiring problem. Is your backup camera on all the time? If so, the coax is probably plugged into the wrong jack. White is an unusual color for the fused hot feed. I would think that should be a trigger wire for another function. I'd try reconnecting the green trigger wire and plugging the coax into another jack.

Maybe in over my head here but you have two hot wires and one ground. I can't see two hot wires coming into the display being a good thing. Maybe it's hook up white for full time camera and the green if you want it as a backup only camera. Just guessing here. Which way was it before?
