Spare tire placement

Hi all,

I have a 32 ft class a winnie vista. the spare tire is kept in a bay over the generator. I am thinking of getting a mounting kit to put it under the rv attached to the frame. Does anyone know of any good mounting kits?

I think I'd take it off. Do you have the tools (jack, torque wrench, lugnut socket and long ratchet to give you the leverage) and know-how to change a tire that weighs alot more than a car tire? And do it in a safe place. The roadside service guys who serve semi's have all this and more and are paid by the roadsie assistance rider in my rv policy.

Having a spare is not the same as changing it.
I carry a 22.5 TIRE as a spare and coach net will put it on when I need it.
Re the OP question, I would roam around a junk yard to locate a lift mechanism to use.

You are right about changing the tire. But I understand you charged for a new tire if they have to go get one. I was thinking of carrying the tire for some one else to change!

It's a Murphy's Law thing -- if you carry a spare, you'll never need it. The day you take it out tho'......BOOM!

Great idea. I'm guessing the thru bays are large enough to keep a tire in the middle out of the way ?
