Speedometer & Odometer not working

Hey All,

We recently purchased a 1990 Holiday Rambler Monitor. We got her up and runing, however we noticed that the speedometer & odometer aren't working. We can't find any info online or in the manual on how to fix or find the problem. Any link or suggestions?

Thanks

I would guess that with the age of the MH the speedometer cable from the transmission and the head has broke.

I have a 1999 HR MH. My speedometer doesnt work either. Stopped working a few months ago. I heard theres a sensor on the transmission that probably went out/bad. I havent had it checked out yet but i will soon. Not sure if your 1990 model is the same or not.

If you take your MH to a dealer they will note in the computer that the Odometer doesn't work. Then your title can be branded as "true mileage unknown". This could decrease the value of your MH. Deal with it quickly and avoid unnecessary devaluations.

I installed a gps speedometer in mine and had the company set the odometer at the milage that that original failed. The gps unit works great and very accurate.
