Speedometer not working coachman mirada class a

I have a 1999 class a ford coachman mirada motor home. The speedometer mysteriously stopped working! I replaced the #26 fuse in the passenger compartment fuse panel and I also replaced the abs sensor on the rear differential but neither solved the problem! That's as far as I could trace the issue! Does anyone else have any suggestions? The odometer or trip meter is not effected and there is no noise comming from the speedometer! I looked front to back under the rv and there is nothing outta place to!

Do you have a scan tool?

If so, the scan tool should report speed. if the speed is OK on the scan tool, you may have a bad instrument cluster. This seems to be common. Mine was replaced just before I bought it 3 years ago.

I use a blue tooth OBDC transmitter that plugs into the OBDC connecter near the steering wheel, then use an app called TORQUE on my droid.

Check Google images, but I think the instrument cluster is the same used in a Ford F150/F250.

I assume you have a V10....

Thanks friend for your help! It is a v10 engine! My only problem replacing the cluster board wouldn't that change the odometer back to 0 or whatever the used one has on its display? I wonder is there a gear or parts in the input of the cluster display or the cable that can be replaced? I'm not being lazy by not opening it up and looking! I'd just rather seek the advise of someone who may be familiar with the connection or problem I'm having! Sometimes other things can go wrong by doing that. Thanks in advance for your time! hb.

On mine, the odometer reads about 20k, I add 55k to that. I'm not overly concerned about the odometer, If I ever sell it, I have good supporting evidence that the real mileage is the odometer, plus 55k.

ALSO - If you can determine its a bad speedometer, you can find a place to send your cluster and they will fix it.

If you have a smart phone, consider buying a blue tooth ODBC scanner tool. These are great for reading engine codes etc.
