It varies, as the RV manufacturer installed it, not Ford. My Winnebago takes removing a bunch of nuts and screws. It's pretty easy, as my dash lifts open. Who made yours? Is your profile right, an Airstream? Maybe a Land Yacht? (I don't see an Xtera as listed in your profile.) Got some pictures?

But what is your problem? I saw you post about an ABS module, now a speedometer. Sounds like you're working on fixing something speed related. Speed sensors are a known problem on that vintage F53, checked that out?

Curious to find out too. I have an E450 chassis with bad speedo which looks to be a bad circuit board. . Speed sensor checked out ok . Not excited about pulling the dash apart

My Airstream is a Land Yatch. The speedometer and ABS went out at the same time as well as irratic shifting at low speed on a steep climb. Took it to a Ford dealer and they say the ABS module is definitely bad. Ford said there was a bad speed sensor in the steering column and replaced it. Shifting improved but not completely corrected. Must have bad speed sensor in the differential.

The abs sensor and the speedometer gauge stopped working at about the same time on my 05 Monaco Monarch. Abs sensor was replaced, but the speedometer needle which wasn't moving at all couldn't be reconditioned. Had to get a whole new speedometer cluster from Ford. Thankfully I had an extended warranty which covered it!
