Splendide Washer

Full time in an 08 Diplomat with a Splendide combo washer noticed the dreaded sewer smell coming from the closet thinking the trap was dry ran a load of clothes through it same smell. Cleaned the pump trap and it seems the smell is coming from the washer itself. Anyone else have this problem and what was the cure? The washer is used at least 3 times a week but not the dryer

i get a smell on my home front-load washer unless door is left open to dry it out. It retains some water in the door seal when door is closed and that gets musty/moldy.
If this is waht your smelling, there are products for this - such as https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DUJRB50...a-308903894288

Look to see if your coach has a vent behind the washer/dryer. It allows air into the lines to prevent siphoning. Many different sizes and shapes, but here is one I found on RV Upgrades.
Sometimes these vents stick open and allow fumes to escape.

The vents Bigd9 is talking about are called air admittance valves and are available at most big box building supply stores.

It has mildewed from not using dryer and closing the door.On residential from loader which I have LG brand it is a no no to close door or it will mildew. Try running thru a cycle with hot water and add bleach with no clothes in it.

Nearly all front loaders--RV or residential have this odor problem. Use the dryer. Leave door ajar when not travelling.

In addition the air admittance valve, 5 bucks at Lowe's, check to see that your drain hose is a few inches above the "P" trap. If it extends to far it defeats the P trap allows gasses back into the MH. Mine was to long from the factroy and had to be cut.
