Sprague Wiper Motor Testing/Repacement

My wipers do not work. They never have worked since I bought the coach. I want to make them work.

I have a 1988 Holiday Rambler Alumalite on a P30/P32/P37 chassis.

The wiper motor is a Sprague. I THINK it is an E-008-010. But it is hard to tell because the label is damaged. The assembly turns hard by hand and the wipers move. I'm not sure if that is normal.

It is 5 wire:
Green
Blue
Black
Red
Brown

The chassis side of the brown tests continuity to Ground.
The chassis side of the Black (as I recall) is constant +12V with ignition on.
I put ground to brown and tried touching the remaining leads on the motor side of the connector to +12V (straight from battery). Nada.

So...

Do I have the motor number right?
Does anyone have a schematic?
Is there a compatibility guide to select a replacement?
Any guidance from IRV2 experts?

Hi wjell,
I replaced the Sprague wiper motor on my MH earlier this year. It worked but slowly and would eventually stop until it cooled off. Not fun in a rainstorm.

I bought the replacement from these folks:

Replacement Windshield Wiper Motors | Wiper Motor Assemblies for Marine, RV and Specialy Vehicles | AM Equipment

They can help you determine the correct replacment.
New motor works like a champ!

As for the wiring, I did have to play around with the color arrangement as they were not all exactly the same. I'll look and see if I still have the notes I made but I might have just tossed it all.
