Spring Break
Hello everyone. I was thinking about taking the MH to Las Vegas during spring break. I have never been there and have no clue of the layout. Is this a wise decision or should I head somewhere else? Where would one park an RV in Vegas? Is there hook ups because we would plan on staying a few days. Thanks for any feedback.

We were out in Vegas last year in February for a week while I was on business. There area number of great RV parks there, most quite reasonably priced. I would recommend getting reservations if you plan on staying that long. Are you pulling a toad? Another set of wheels is advantageous in Vegas. There are also lots of sites to see nearby (like the Hoover Dam) that taking the coach is not as easy.
Yes, definitely it is worth going to Vegas in the RV.

IMHO the RV park is right on the strip but it is nothing but a big parking lot with hookups. Really did not feel safe since the area of the strip it is in is far from the greatest.
If you have a toad you might want to consider las vegas motorhome resort. Although pricey it is cheaper than spending time at the tables.
Have fun and ENJOY!

Have stayed there many times. Very nice, not too pricey, out of the way(end of the strip), nice pool, big spaces.
You can drive your toad to any casino and valet park, and then make your way around.
We like to start at the bellagio, and wander from there.
Jus sayin

There are many RV parks/resorts in Vegas. We stayed at Sams Town/KOA about 3 miles South of the strip/same highway, it is not as good as when the casino was Silvertown. You may also stay at the county gun club outside of town.

Agree with above, lots of good places and easy to get around. If you are retired military, I would definitely recommend the Famcamp at Nellis.

Sam's Town has an RV park. It is on the Boulder Highway. They have some pull thurs and back-ins. Rates are very reasonable. You might look them up on the internet. If you want a 5 star resort, look at LVM Resort. I think rates start around $70.00 a night. They are just up the street from Oasis. Both LVM and Oasis are about 7 or 8 minutes from the strip.
Have a great time in Vegas.
