Squeak in dash fixed! 50 cent solution.
So we just clocked a quick weekend trip to Omaha. My dash has always had some squeaks but this time it seemed worse than others. Maybe because I was exhausted driving back late Sunday night.
As I’m driving I found that if I pushed down on the dash pad the squeak would go away. It wouldn’t even take that much pressure.
I crawled under there the next morning trying to duplicate it but that was a failed mission. If your under your dash looking up you’ll see the plywood sits on metal crossmembers like a car frame or ladder.
I took a ordinary wood shim you get at lowes and shoved it in between the cross member and the underside of the dash.
Took it for a spin and to my amazement, silence. Well, I’d say 90% silence. You still hear squeak when hitting the hard bumps. But the annoying little continuous mouse squeak is gone! Life is good and ready for the next trip.

Ours had an annoying loud sound when hitting harsh bumps. It came from the depressed dash tray between the driver and passenger area. Pushing on it greatly reduced the sound.
I took the entertainment system out from the lower console cabinet. Looked up into the suspect area, and saw a sheet metal box that the dash could vibrate against or the box could move enough to hit the dash. A bit of firm rubber stuffed into the space between solved the problem.

Now if someone has a solution to the Ford platform steering wheel squeak on the early 2000s model years.

The Door on our Holiday Rambler Imperial used to squeak like crazy driving down the road. I put a few wraps of black tape around the two striker posts where the top and bottom latches close on and then no more squeak.

This is something I've been doing for years. When I have something like a door frame that squeaks, I use Pledge and spray the heck out of it. I then wipe it all down. You get a twofer....squeaks gone and clean. Even the with the wood under your dash, spray it with some Pledge. It won't hurt anything.

Another tip is to carry a can of spray silicon lube, that comes with the little straw type end
Particularly for cabinets or trim that rattles or squeaks. It gets into places you can't reach.
