Starting & battery disconnect problems

Went out for my monthly start-up of my 1996 Newmar Kountry Star 35' driveway ornament and just heard a click, sounded more like a relay than the starter. Cleaned all battery connections and charged, same thing. Chassis battery four years old so I went and got a new one, same thing.
Then I tried the battery disconnect switch and it does not light up either way I rock it.

If the Intellitec disconnect has gone bad, would it cause both of my problems?

Don't know if not being driven could contribute to the problem or not. Bought it 2 years ago with great plans but my wife got ill the same week and has mobility issues that do not allow her to get in and out of the RV.
So it hasn't left the driveway since I brought it home.

Do the rest of 12 items work?

Try boost switch.

A friends unit will not work if coach battery is dead as it is what powers the power center and with dead coach battery he could not get chassis battery to connect unless he hit boost then all is well.

Hi tarheel24,
Welcome to iRV2. There is a Newmar Owners forum on iRV2. It is at Newmar Owner's Forum - iRV2 Forums Your question is specific to how Newmar coaches are built. It might generate some high quality responses if you posted the question in that forum.

However, what saddens me is the fact you have not been able to use the coach. My wife also has mobility problems. Consider Googling "motor coach mobility lifts". There are quite a few companies that make lifts for motor coach entry and exit. Don't let the mobility issue keep you from enjoying the coach and this great country.

There is also a thread with a bunch of links on iRV2. Go to http://www.irv2.com/forums/f258/hand...ns-161639.html and check out the links.
