Starting Problems

Hi. I am having a problem with my 2008 Fleetwood Terra LX Ford V-10 Motorhome. at time it will start without any problems, then for no reason it will not start, not even engauge the starter. when it wont start the little wrench light comes on and also says to check the gauges have checked all fuses relays. I am thinking either the ign switch itself (where the key goes) or the part the wiring plugs into. sometimes if I turn the switch back and forth a bunch of times it will start. I know that it is not the starter as if I jump it it will start. any thoughts???????? afraid to drive it anywhere, don't want to have to be towed home again.......

Need more details.

the ignition has two positions (run & Start).

1. What happens when you turn the key to "Run"? Does everything work (gauges, radio, turn signals?)

2. When does it say "Check gauges" ...after you tried the "Start" position?

It does sound like a intermittent connection. You need to isolate it to the "run" side or the "Start" side. If the "Run" side is bad, it will prevent you from starting. If the start side is bade, the 12V stuff should operate normally.
