I can't answer that, because I've never used any other but Steer Safe....

TruCenter

Blue Ox TruCenter installed here.

Wouldn't ever leave home without it. The instant adjustability of the unit is awesome. Heavy side-wind and hands off steering.

I chose Steer Safe a few years ago because it was the least expensive, provided the strongest steering control, and was easy to install.

It works exactly as advertised.

After watching some of the videos and viewing pics of crashes attributed to front tire blowout, we spent the $350 for the Roadmaster. To us it was a no brainer to help with the possibly of a blowout.

I looked at a number of them at a rally and purchased the Blue Ox Trucenter. I liked that is came with the ability to set the position of the stabilizer by using a button in the dash. The others I looked at required expensive add ons to do that. We installed it ourselves. The hardest part was finding power that was only one when the ignition was one.

When I bought my old Navigator it had a Howard system. I didn't like it so I drove with it switched off until I removed and replaced it with a basic Monroe stabilizer. It mounted up to the Howard mounts with minor modification to one of the mounts. This was an improvement, but still not great. I then added 2.5 degrees of caster with bronze caster shim/wedges and then there wasn't enough bolt threads left for the stabilizer mount, so I removed the Monroe. So now I have no stabilizer but have increased the caster 2.5 degrees and it drives better than ever. I may not have the protection from a blowout, but I have a much better drive the rest of the time. Before, it wandered and had zero self centering after a turn. Now it does not wander and after making a turn I can let go of the wheel and it straightens out on it's own.
People install stabilizers for a number of reasons, one of which is erratic handling. If your rig handles fine without it, the only benefit I can see is possibly some help in a blowout situation. If you're trying to help erratic handling, I would try to find the cause first.

TrueCenter from Blue OX!
It is adjustable on the fly with the press of a button. Made a huge difference, and for me it was well worth the money.

I hated driving my 34 pusher on anything but a smooth road and a non-windy day. Never felt safe going over 60mph even with new tires and alignment. Added TrueCenter and it drives like a car now. Best money I ever spent, no question about that.
