Sticking Slide-out

The 13’ slide out on our .04 Journey sticks at the top when we extend it. It will go out about 10 inches, and then the top stops, and then with a loud, jarring clunk, it goes out some more, and then this happens a couple more times until it is fully extended. If my wife pushes the button and I stand inside pushing out on the top, that moderates the sticking quite a bit, but it still happens. It retracts normally. I’m thinking it’s either the topper, which I will be replacing soon, or the seal. Anyone else have a problem like this?

I replaced my toppers two years ago. You would be amazed how dirty it gets up top. You will want to clean and lube the top of the slide and clean the seal good. Having said that I have not noticed any issues on extension. you can lube the exterior of the slide walls
with Baby powder to see if it helps any, otherwise it may me more mechanical issues at play.
