Unhappy still having entry door latch problem

I posted earlier about our door latch sticking to the point of having to "hip check" the door when exiting. Some folks suggested loosening the striker bolt in the jamb, but loosening it didn't seem to provide any beneficial adjustability.

The door opens with little effort from the outside, but more often than not, it is difficult to open from the inside. I don't get it! I'm thinking I may have to perform exploratory surgery on the door assembly next?

All thoughts and suggestion very welcome

If the door opens with the outside handle but sticks using the inside release, The inside handle linkage may be out of adjustment.
My door is made by PTL Engineering, which makes most of the RV doors. The linkage inside the door panel is adjustable, the center of each link fits inside a threaded collar. (like a turnbuckle). The ends are held in place in the handle by clips (like carburator linkage)
I adjusted my linkage to remove slack in the outside handle and it now works fine. I usually take photos so I can put things back together but this time I just did one link at a time.
If your door is made by PTL their phone # is 810-664-2310
hope this helps...

We have a 2005 FL Century. It had the driver's side door latch assembly replaced by the dealer before we purchased it and now the passenger side lock is stuck and the door opens rolling up the window. FL's are notorious for having poorly designed door latches. The mechanic at the FL dealer told me he changes out three to four a week.

thanks 007. I'll be sure to use the photo reference when I take on the disassembly chore.
