Welp the saga continues. The wife and I where firt sold on our entry level coach (newmar, baystar 3202) but then we found we could afford a bit higher and decided that we would move up to the canyon star 3512. The common theme between the two being they had the floor plan we liked.

After several weeks of thinking looking and shopping around we still have not made up our minds and are now kicking around the idea of a damon challenger 376. We have small kids and one big one plus the 2 of us and the bunk beds seem like a good idea. We are headed off tomorrow (Sat) to view one that isnt to bad of a drive.

I was wondering if anyone owns a damon product as i dont seem to see many post here for such and if they are happy with their coach. The unit we are looking at is much bigger than the enty lvl newmar product and we where very happy with the quality of newmar in general kinda wondering if we are going to feel the same about damon?!

Any input would be great and thanks ahead of time

We bought a used Damon Daybreak. Took us about 7 months to find ours. We had spent a lot of time deciding how we would use it. Personal opinion of all of these machines is they are way overpriced, so we chose used to avoid big depreciation hit, while trying to find one we could use. We bought from private individual, turned out okay. We know the unit needed a little 'inside remodeling', and are doing that now. One thing for us was requirement that I could put it into my garage. We were able to do that, as ours is only 26 ft. engine ,brakes are good and it was well taken care of.

Good luck what ever you decide to do.

I never been impressed with the fit and finish when we looked at Damons, so we have always passed them by.

At the Tampa RV show, in January, Newmar Execs mentioned they are expanding the bunk bed floorplans to several of their Brands. Consider hanging in there until Newmar unveils their 2008 lineup. Gut feel says the Bay, Canyon, Kountry and Dutch Star may each have a bunk bed model. This will be in addition to the current bunk bed floorplan the All Star has now.
