If we leave a vent open while moving we will sometimes get that smell.
Before you spend any money I'd try closing all vents while moving.

We traveled yesterday with the vents closed and no stinky smell. Made the return trip today with the vents still closed and stinky smell again. Wife says it is definitely from the toilet. When I checked there was water on top of the ball so I'm a little curious how odor is getting through. Any ideas?
Thanks again, Steve

Though most black tanks may well never be cleaned,, I find it's the GRAY tank that stinks the most in most rigs.
In addition to the toilet there are vacuum breakers under the sinks and in the washer drain line, These may cause issues if they no longer seal properly.. Also I've seen sulfur dioxide mistaken for sewer (Methane) smell, This can come off the batteries epically if they are overcharging.
There are a few other options too.
One thing I will say.. The assorted tank chemicals they sell .. Waste of money.

My toilet has 2 holes close to the top. They are overflow hole, put water in them, do not forget to put antifreeze in it before winter.

I also had terrible sewer smell in my Pace Arrow...Found out it was the drain tube from the clothes washer. This drain tube was inserted too far into the motorhome drain line. The tube travelled through to to far side of the P trap, allowing the smell to travel to the washer.

I had the same problem, the one trap I forgot about was the combo washer/dryer. I run it once when I take it out of storage now before I go on a trip. Smell gone!

We were getting smells while traveling thru the shower drain. We fill a ziplock bag with water and cover the drain with it.solved the problem for us.When we first got our coach we were getting odors .Finally traced it to the two piece Sealand toilet leaking at the joint under the decorative cover and collecting on top of the tank.Odor would then come back up thru openings in the floor.Tightening the clamp solved the problem.

Ok I had this problem and after trying nearly everything someone told me this and it has never smelled since, I was told to remove the black tank vent cap on roof and on the side of the coach get a tape measure and measure the distance from the roof to the black tank then with a stick or something longer than your earlier measurement that is strong and rigid push it down the vent tube and see if it goes all the way down to the tank, in my case there was something about a foot from the tank, not sure if it was a hornets nest or just crap that made it up the vent pipe but after clearing the tube my oder went away.
Good luck
