Question Storage compartment issue

This morning while breaking camp I noticed that my storage compartments under my living room slide was not closing totally on my 2003 Itasca Sunrise 32V motorhome. What would cause the slide to close properly by the storage compartments do not lock into place?

Are the screws that attach the lock to the door tight? One of our doors was that way and would not stay latched. Or, the latch is not aligned with the catch.

Bummer. Being that you have your basement on the slide I would check the bolts that hold it to the slide. They have a history of breaking. If one is broken this will cause the box to twist and the doors won't shut. Worst case... The basement compartments could fall off. It is a good idea to check these bolts from time to time.
