You use the deep cabinets to put stuff in that your DW just has to have and can't live without but will never use.

When we got the Magna we did the trade at the dealers shop. Wife put stuff away and I unloaded the old Dutch Star. We had a box with the cat meds in it. We searched for over a month for that box even after we got home. Turns out the DW had put it in an overhead cabinet and she kept telling me she had searched there. Finally found it but not without some serious searching.

I use several of the narrow Rubbermaid stack and slide bins. They reach from front to back of the cabinet two high. Haven't used the bigger sliding tray. Contents labeled on the front.

I put various sized chrome slide trays in all overhead deep cabinets. They are available at Amazon.
