Strange bump

I have a 1999 Pace Arrow 34N, Class A, that has a strange thumping noise, under the drivers floor, ocasionaly if I get a good pothole it can be felt on the bottom of my foot.
I read the other day that the drive pump for the leveling jacks floats free and will go bump.
Does anyone know if this is true and what can be done to stop it, if anything?
I'm just getting over Cancer surgery and want to keep crawling under the coach to a min.

On my previous MH I had two thumps under the front floor. One of them was caused by a bad rubber shock bushing and the other one was caused by the jack not coming all the way up. I thought you jack was a little further back then under your foot. The first thing to check is the shock bushing. Somthing else that is right under your foot is the generator exhaust pipe. Sometimes the rubber hanger comes loose so it bangs around.

Do your jacks go straight up and down or do they have knee joints and fold back? You might try buying some heavy bungee cords or rope the jack on the drivers side up tight and see if that stops the noise then you know what it is or isn't.

If its a Workhorse chassis the springs will thump needs a plastic shim on rear spring mount, but its usually under the passenger side.
