Strange ceiling LED light problem

We have replaced about half of our OEM ceiling LED lights when they go bad by starting to flicker. Some of the little lights in the overall light are out and others on. A new light (ours have to be changed as the whole fixture, not just a bulb) solves the problem. Now I have one acting differently. It is going on and off about once every 2-3 seconds. The whole light is on and then the whole light is off. Does anyone know what this suggests? I haven't tried replacing it yet. I thought I'd get your expertise first.

The LED lights have a small power supply to send the correct voltage to the "bulbs". It sounds like the circuit board is overheating, then once it cools off it comes back on. A replacement is probably your only option.

those round led lights in the ceiling can be opened up. i had several that had styrofoam insulation balls inside the glass. i popped them out of the ceiling and twisted the glass dome off the fixture to clean out the little white balls. might be something loose in yours if you open them up. just watch out for the spring loaded wings that hold them in the holes in the ceiling.
