We're making our first trip to Sturgis this year as well. Have reservations at the Chip. Can't wait for the fun to begin. We purchased a 2003 Damon Challenger and will be traveling with friends from Vt. pulling a trailer with three bikes in it.

Looking forward to seeing the concerts, sights and having some great rides. Would love to meet up with and say hi to fellow IRV2 members.

We plan to leave on July 30th and hope to be there Friday afternoon. Our reservations are for Saturday but if we get there early enough we'll get the site and kick off the experience with the Loverboy concert. We're staying through the following weekend leaving on Saturday for the track back to Vermont.

35 hours of driving time. We'll switch off so maybe I can catch up on sleep before going back to work on Thursday.

For you newbies going to the Chip, remember not to get there too late in the evening (after dark) as they will make you stay at the gate all night as no night parking & set-up is allowed.

If you stay at the Chip pray it doesn't rain very much. It becomes one big mud hole!
And do not plan on getting any sleep. it is definetly a 20's,30's age park.
We are on the way there now from St Augustine.
Will be there before it starts, and leave the Saturday before. This way you get the rides without the traffic jams and still see the crowed wonder of Main Street. Be careful in the curves..not many guard rails, center lines and edge lines. Go slow when the signs tell you.
Ride safe.

That's awesome all you guys! I will definitely post some pics and share some experiences with you all and by all means you guys too! I can't make it without sleep so we're packing ear plugs and I've got a Bose sound dock that I'll try to drown some of it out!
