Sub 30' 2015 purchace choice

I'm considering to downsize from a 32'. I can do without a sofa

In the class A I've looked at the 28' Fleetwood Storm, Winnegego Vista 26he, and the Flletwood Flair 26d.

My wife likes the Flair for it's floor plan. I like the Vista for it's fiberglass roof.

Do you have a sub 30 footer? Can you comment on the Flair or the Vista?

We have the Vista 26he and coming from a 24 ft b plus we are over the moon in love with ours!....It has the Ford v10 motor on the f53 chassis and the total package works very well...I am not sure if I would be so enamored if I was coming down from a larger rig so I cannot compare. What I do know is the Vista has Huge storage capacity and a bedroom ,which was severely lacking in my old rig.The Vista is not without its faults..it shows in some areas where it has been built down to a price..The one glaring problem I have is both front side windows and their screens let in a lot of wind noise and also rattle pretty bad...something to check if you decide..It handily turns on a dime almost.. and can be parked pretty much anywhere...Some also complain about the driving experience..personally I did not have a problem..but reading these forums forced me into doing the chf to the sway bars anyway...it does make a marked difference reducing sway and making it more car like in general handling...The only other thing I have yet to do is to install an adjustable thermostat on the water heater..way too hot!...and on some occasions it somehow forces a water leak through the shower faucet and shows itself on the shower floor!...I can't explain how but it happens!.. Overall a very pleasant rig to own and operate...good luck on your choice!.

How is your gas mileage on the 26he

Does the 2015 Vista 26he have HID headlights ? I believe that the Flair does have HIDs.

On the Vista, gas mileage is all relative on how you drive, what you tow and wind direction...expect between 7-9 mpg. I did change the headlight bulbs for the silverstar upgrade and they are an improvement...one thing I noticed when changing them out however was the headlight assemblies are exposed to the elements and rain water was present behind the bulbs..this is easily remedied with a sheet of rubber pop riveted over the assembly and keeps the water out...
