You will need to pull it down (mounted by screws) and get the model and serial numbers. Let us know this and the manufacturer and we can be of more help.

If it's an AutoMotion shade you won't be able to get a replacement motor from them - I went through that with ours. We have a shade that fits the width of the windshield and had to find an aftermarket motor, then engineer a drive gear to get it working. It cost me about $100 instead of the $800 that AutoMotion wanted for a replacement shade. You can find the app note I wrote detailing the replacement at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw6...it?usp=sharing

I have a problem with one of my visors as well, curious as to your outcome on the repair.

If this is directed at me, my visor has been working fine ever since I completed the repair - around 18 months of regular use with no issues.

We could not find manufacturer name or model numbers on the old blind. We have a 2006 Newmar Dutchstar so we called Newmar parts. They confirmed that we had an Automotion blind. They had a new one in stock so we purchased it. Since auto motion makes different sizes, You need to know the length.

That works well if you can find a replacement shade for less than $100 - in our case, a replacement would have cost us about $800. I'd much rather pay $100 and spend some time fixing it myself...

We paid 305.00 for a new one. Try contacting Newmar to check price.

That's still 3 times what I paid to repair mine - I can buy a lot of beer with the $200 I saved...
