was in our 2000 discovery Fleetwood the other night and all of a sudden the slide in the living room started coming in on its own > husband had to go to cabinet over drivers seat and turn the key to out position to make it stop if let up it would spring back in. Has this happened to anyone and why would it do that?

I just fixed a similar problem on my Ventana and it turned out to be a bad switch. The first thing that I noticed was that the switch did not have a positive feel when I tried to activate it and did not return to its neutral position.

If it continues, you can try one of the other switches which are in the coach or just disconnect the wires from the "bad" one. You should also do a voltage check to confirm.

Did you hear a motor being powered up or just noticed that something may have broken and it moved in? We need to know more of what slideout design and/or manufacturer is on your coach.

slide moving in on its own

Discovery 37 v by Fleetwood. They are electric slideouts but do not know what brand they are. Also it is a 2000. Beeper went off in the middle of the night slide started coming in. The slide room control spring key switch in cupboard feels ok but the only way to stop it is to turn in out position to stall it out for a moment but will not go back out. If anyone knows were the cylinoid is located in this coach would be a great help also .
