Superflex sealant?

do you like the superflex sealant they sell at camping world?

doing roof sealants around front cap and rain gutters (not around vent holes and such)

i do not like silicone, seems like it just pops off.

camping world does not carry dicor any more...

i just finished the seam at the front cap and fiberglass roof.

and the fiberglass roof to the rain gutters.

i used the non-self leveling which is made for vertical surfaces

took 2 days to clean off all the silicone which was a really messy job done by a service tech that didnt clean off the original factory sealant very well

one great tip i got was to use magic eraser foam pad to clean off the gunk. it works awesome. i used rubbing alcohol on the foam to keep the surfaces clean and dry - no water on the coach while sealing!

this super flex stuff is a sticky mess like if you peeled fresh chewing gum off the pavement on 110 degree day.

at first i hated it.

after it cured for a day i was able to manipulate it a little bit without any stickiness and add a little dab here or there with confidence that it would stick. not the case with silicone in my experience

so i really want to know how long it will last and if this stuff is any good.

thanks!

I use silkaflex self leveling from home depot. It is located in the roofing section and not the paint section.

Superflex sealant?

What happens to geocel pro flex when it is time to replace it? Does it get hard and crack or does it disintegrate or what?

The reason I like body colored sealants instead of clear is I can see when the body color sealant is cracked and needs replaced.

Very hard to see when the clear is cracked and leaking.

How can you tell when the clear has come loose or cracked?
