Technology update

I have a '96 Safari Serengeti with all original electronics that are going on 15 years old and need replacing (tv's,vcr, dash radio, etc) I am looking at options for upgrades. The dash radio is not working and I was wondering if there might be a new technology update that could incorporate the existing speakers in the ceiling of the coach with a new tv/radio/dvd/ipod, etc option? Has anyone done this? With new flat screen tv's and laptop capabilities, I've got to believe there are better options than just replacing the dash radio and TV's. What about a "home theatre" type set up with tv/radio/satelight/dvd/etc capabilities? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

I changed the dash radio in my previous 1999 pace arrow. Piece of cake, it used a standard single din automotive radio, I just spliced on the new connector for the new stere, used all the existing connections and speakers.

Also changed the bedroom tv, and added a dvd player back there. This was pretty easy too.

Some of these changes can get kinda involved though. Modern TV's are not the same shape as olders ones, and running new wiring, such as for home theater speakers, can be a bit of a chore.
