Good question. If it is a paper plate (I think it is) laminate it and attach it to the license plate frame would be my best guess..... But you are going to have to check this out
go to SOM - State of Michigan
and link to both Secratary of State and Michigan State Police sites and post the question there.. MSP has an ASK A QUESTION link on their site and WILL get back to you Print and laminate the answer as well.
NOTE: some cities (Detroit for example) have "Disabled vehicle" ordiances and if you have a vehicle on your property that does NOT have valid registration the officer will assume it is disabled.
The Detroit ord says three conditions must be met before ticket is issued.
1: Motor vehicle
2: Not capable of being started and operated safely upon highway
3: NO VALID REGISTRATION
The one time I got cited it was
1: A trailer
2: In good working order adn
3: Bore valid Michigan Registration
I do admit to a low tire,,, but compressed air was inside the trailer to inflate said tire before moving.
