Thanks for Good Samaritans

-- Leaving Niagara Falls and getting on the I-90 toll road, my windshield wipers no longer worked, also lost rear view camera and dash fans. I had passed the last exit before toll booth, ( to pick up the entry ticket)
I was passing a pick-up truck and the driver was pointing toward my RT front wheel?? he seemed very concerned. No place to pull over, no shoulder--- he signaled again and I realized the steps were extended.. DW watched the steps as I inched slowly through the booth as far left as I could manage and at most a 1/4 inch clearance between the steps and the curb.
Immediately after the toll booth there is a truck turn out and I replaced a 15 amp fuse and everything worked. (But no longer did I use all the items at the same time. Next project is to divide that load between more than one circuit)

Without the young driver getting my attention I surely would have trashed the steps and ruined what otherwise was a very enjoyable 3000 mile trip.

Life is Good...

thats why i by-passed the step controller and wired a switch directly to the steps so they go up and down when i want them to,not when they want to.
