Thanks Y’all

After what seems like years and hours upon hours of research, we finally ordered our first MH. We decided to get a 2020 Newmar Bay Star 3609. We started looking for a Class C, and made the mistake of stepping into a DP at a show, after researching them & looking at our budget a gas Class A made more sense for us. Looked for used and just didn’t find what we wanted so we took the plunge one a new one.

I want to thank everyone that responded to our many questions, your advise helped us make our decision. I also wanted to provide an update on the questions we posted and what we decided:

-As stated we went with gas, if we decide to go FT after we retire in 7-8yrs we’ll look at a DP. Until we retire we’ll pretty much stay E. of the Mississippi so gasser should be fine towing the Jeep to most places we want go.

-After looking at Newmar, Tiffin & Winnebago we decided Newmar offered the build quality, location of a well respected dealer/service center and proximity to the manufacturer we wanted. The Bay Star 3609 gave us the features, floor plan and quality we wanted and also fit our budget.

-We decided to forgo the Satellite & WiFi/Cellular options Newmar offers. We’ll setup Cellular once we get the MH and stream as much as possible. We’re adding an external sat/cable jack and maybe get a tripod mountable dish if streaming doesn’t work well.

-We elected not to get the washer & dryer, but we did have it preped in case we decide we want to add them in the future.

-We opted for the external TV, fireplace & bath and a half. For the TV, it was to watch/listen to football game, we promise to keep it quiet and not be that couple. The DW wanted the fireplace & bath and a half, so we got them, no questions asked.

-We went little longer than we thought we were going to on our first, but for the bath and a half, we needed to go 36’.

Thanks again for all your help, we appreciate it. I think waiting for it, we asked for a May 1st delivery date, will be the hard part. I also feel we’ll have a bunch more questions so thanks in advance for helping us with them.
