There's one not far from us. I had no idea! Thanks...👍

But back to the topic, we almost always fuel up at truck stops. Frankly I think it's kinda cool hang'n with the big rigs. The drivers have been courteous and I know there won't be water or algae in the diesel. And often there's little or no price difference with the "little guys". And no worries about getting stuck or hitting something. If price were all that important we wouldn't have motorhomes, right?

Along with Costco, Sam's Club, and WalMart also have diesel! Just have to scope it out first, see if you can fit? WalMart, you can buy a prepaid card, and get 5 cents off the pump price! Rail!

I have been to several Flying J where they have the RV lanes at one end of the commercial fueling. It has gasoline as well as both sizes of diesel nozzles. I have seen semi's lined up at RV as well as RV lined up at the commercial pumps. Everyone seems calm.

I've never been to one set up that way. Give a location or two & I'll check it out.

They don't put RV pumps next to the truck lanes because the truck will try to use them. MHO

Our local one just put Diesel pumps in, but they aren't the most convenient ones to use for a 45' DP either. Not much room to make the turn out without blocking traffic.

1) Anthony, TX on the NM border
2) Eloy, AZ

The one at Eloy also has a dump station at the pumps.

One that comes easily to mind is Rocker, MT. just west of Butte.

Dirty Deisel

I'd only owned my coach for two days when I learned the hard lesson that you should only buy fuel at places that sell lots of it (i.e. truck stops). Got off I75 in the middle of the "northern migration" of snowbirds and pulled into the first no-name gas station I could fit and pumped about 50 gallons of dirty fuel into the tank. I will use my local Walmart (Murphy) because I know they pump plenty of diesel, but I still have to back into the pumps.

Do truckers have holding tanks? or did they provide that for RVs? Seems like a trucker would really get annoyed if he had to wait for me to dump and purge tanks.

Hey there AA,
how'd the run up the left coast go?

We had a BALL in Durango and Colo Springs!

back on track:
Whenever I opt for a full Pilot/Flying J - I usually have 2 trucks behind me because they know my lil ole 100 gallon tank won't take long

and many times have had compliments on the rig or jeep...

Hey John, glad you had a good time here! We are hitting that western slope area next week, and maybe Monument Valley if I feel ambitious. The Left Coast was a wonderful trek! Loved the Redwoods and the MH did great.
