The Day has finally arrived!

To describe myself as excited is an understatement. Today we pick up our new Winnebago Itasca Meridian and taking it on its first voyage(long weekend) to our favorite destination in Lake George NY. We've graduated over the years from tents, pop-ups, travel trailers and fifth wheels and looking forward to traveling in style. A little nervous having never driven a motorhome but I'm much more excited

Congrats! Enjoy your new coach and relax. A few minutes behind the wheel and you will become comfortable with driving it. Just remember, your mirrors are your friend.

Congratulations! We love Lake George. It's a great first destination for your new MH.

Congrats!

Don't sign the final check until you do a thorough, overnight, two-day PDI (pre departure inspection).

Don't be in a rush, this is not like buying a car. Make sure EVERYTHING works before you leave the lot, and before you pay for it.

Have fun!

Cheers!

Don't be nervous, it will be fine. I had the same feeling when we picked up our first motorhome. I changed my mind when we saw this 80+ year young fella, with a walker, get into one of the large motorhomes and manhandle the unit around the lot and onto the highway..... I said to myself.. -"Cant be too difficult",... and its not. Best of luck with your Meridian, they are great units.

Experience trumps physical limitations, in this case.

I am excited for you. Take your time and be careful.

We are excited to be on our first trip in our "new to us" DP today. A 500 mile round trip.

Congratulations to you both. May your feelings of excitement and adventure last.

Based on what I see in this listing you will need an endorsement on your license:

http://changingears.com/rv-sec-state-rv-license.shtml

Dealers aren't always forthcoming about these requirements.

Congratulations! I remember our first trip when I got my DP motorhome. It was better than any Christmas I ever had. I am very happy for you. Two thumbs up!

Best of luck to you. I know how you feel as we are about to embark on a similar adventure when we take delivery in Oct. Somewhat nervous here too, but we did take the Drivers Confidence Course at Lazydays which did what it states - Gave me confidence I can do it.

Safe Travels.
