Done for the sake of doing it I would guess. Not very practical. Doubt you can open the door so your basically stuck inside, no fishing, water skiing, sunbathing. Once the fun of shocking people as you drive the RV into the water wears off what do you have? An RV that can cross really calm water on days thats its not windy. Which explains the side pontoons. Seen a couple of these floating busses and they always looked as if a 10mph crosswind hit em they would tip over. I'll pass. Rather have the amphibian convertable car that I could tow behind my MH drive on the road and in the water. That would useful.
