Theater recliners

I would like to install a pair of theater seats in our motorhome. And I am hoping to hear from others who have done this. I have 36" of front to back room on my slide and am looking for a quality furniture set that will fit in this depth. The front can overhang a bit as long as the mounts will fit in this distance and allow them to recline. Thanks in advance for any guidance

We installed twin theatre seating in our 08 Expedition. We purchased the seats at Camping World. Easy installation, everything went through the front door. We have also installed them in our new 2018 Discovery. The Discovery slide is narrower so it required installing a 3/4" plywood baseplate to bolt the chairs to. Those chairs came from Lazydays retail store.

I just went to a furniture store and purchased a double recliner with a console made by Ashley Furniture. It is much more comfortable than any RV unit we tried. I extended the slide out floor with additional rollers for support and bolted it down.

We installed Lambright Theater seating from Bradd and Hall. Pricey but top quality Amish furniture. Very pleased.

Weight may be your main problem. Most slides have a weight limit, you may want to look in the manufactures information to verify the added weight will still allow the slide to operate without problems.

There currently is a jackknife sofa where I intend on installing them so I think it’s a pretty even swap.

We are installing theater recliners with a console in the middle, with drink holders and charging station for phones or pads. These will be installed to replace the queen bed couch in our 2014 Tiffin Phaeton QBH. It will be installed on Aug. 30 at Lambright furniture in Topeka In. just south of Shipshiwanna, In. I will post pics when it is done.
