Thetford Tecma Toilet Woes

I have Tecma Silence (electric/ceramic) and am not pleased with its generous use of water. Also having trouble with incomplete flushes and backflow. Anyone else having trouble with these units?

What does it take to cure backflow problems; Is there a way to cut down on the amount of water per flush?

Find SlabMan - he installed one and knows some about the adjustment of the water usage.

If its a 2 button hold both buttons to drain and you also hold both buttons and water will fill until you release to set water level.

Here is the manual. A full flush using the right button and a smaller flush using the left. Pushing both at the same time empties it. Continue holding both and you can set the water level.

If you are getting back pressure follow the outlet hose to see if there is a kink.

On the back of my tecma there is a small box near the floor with wires going to it. On the box there is a small switch that you can set for full flush or water saver flush.

My apology, the attachment didn't make the trip. Here it is.

I do not have the marine model.
I have one with two buttons and one with one button.
Neither toilet refill with water after flush. I have tried the “hold both buttons” and it flushes, emptied, refills and empties again before or when I release the buttons.
