Do not forget to put the Toad in to neutral prior to driving off.

Don't forget to release the parking brake on the toad before hitting the road. Bad for MH mpg and it really smells bad.

Don't ever forget to un hook a 30 AMP cord from shore power when leaving the camp site. Because about 3 miles down the road someone in a car will motion for you to stop and get that 25' cord following you.
Then about a year later don't forget to do that a 2nd time. Or a lady in the campground will be waving her arms at you.

Don't forget to untie your dog from the bumper prior to heading down the highway at 70 mph.

Been there, done that. About the 2nd or 3rd time out, went to take off and the MH was doing the juming jack thing. Got out to look and saw the two ruts in the dirt behind the front wheels of the toad. I was sure I had put it in Neutral.......
The fix for those spongy steps? Put a little Sissor jack under them to make them feel solid. Don't however forget to remove the sissor jack before you hit the Store Button on the leveling jacks. Hard on steps.

Make sure the nut on the hitch ball is tight and check it every time you stop. I was towing my car on a tow dolley for the first time on a long 800 mi trip. When I bought the receiver with the 2" ball I did not bother to tighten it. When we stopped at the end of the day, about 400 mi from home, at a camp site the nut was gone. The tow dolley was hanging there and had not come off. Were we lucky or what?

Be Careful Where You Drill
While putting in basement shelving, drilled into the frame rail and right through the dash heater coolant line. VERY expensive fix.
I'm switching to adhesives.

Not good. Had a customer that was installing cabnets in his new house but could not get a screw to go in, got a drill bit and had trouble predrilling the hole but got it done. Yup drilled though a nail plate covering Gastite flexable gas pipe. That one cost him a bunch

In stowing the outside shower hose in the plumbing bay I managed to hit the winterizing valve. For the next 3 days I'd fill the tank and it would be empty by the end of that day's driving. So for 3 days I worried about what I broke, how I broke and how much over $5000.00 it was going to cost to replace the tank. Finally on day four I decided to have another look and thats when I noticed the winterizing valve was open. It wouldn't leak sitting still only while driving. Apparently the sloshing would water going to the winterizing line created a suction effect.

That is awesome. Are you sure that was a "mistake"? I don't think my wife would EVER let me live this one down Especially considering it took so long to notice she was gone.
