Thinking of parting out an old pusher. Any ideas?

I have a 1992 Gulf Stream tourmaster. I been fixing it up but kinda lost interest. It's the cummins c8.3l (300hp) with Allison md3060 6 speed. 60k miles. Runs and drives good. Has a 7500 watt diesel generator that works fine. Needs some interior work due to water damage from a leaking roof. I've replaced the roof less than 2 months ago. It doesn't need the entire inside replaced just mainly on one wall and the Kitchen area floor Anyway, just curious as to where to go from here. I've already replaced it with another coach. Any ideas ?

I don't know what a fixed-to-run coach like that is worth, do you?

Like parting out boats, IMO you'd end up with a hulk that definitely won't run, and taking one to a landfill isn't a task you want to do.

Looks like a side-rad, nice cabinets, could clean up to sell.

I think the costs associated with pulling various parts off, shipping, etc. would negate the income from them. What's Left is what's important. Drive through the country and find a whole lot of examples of, "....just gettin' aroun' to it" projects.

Another option is to donate it, get somebody else to haul it, and have a tax loss to use.

There are several threads where the fellows are repairing or building coaches or RV. Perhaps they would be interested in working with this.

RV Fire and the coach that needed a bit of love

Total Rebuild.

I'm in western Nc. It's not a terrible coach. I've honestly done a lot to it. I should list it anyway as a fixer just to see what kinda interest I get. Is there a for sale section here?

It's on a spartan mountain master chassis.

Yes there is a for sale section here. It is under "classified". Looks nice but I will never be able to afford one of those pushers-at least not on my 700.00 month ssi.

Sell it. If the price is right it'll get snapped up pronto. Plenty of flippers out there with the ability and garage space to fix it up.

I have parted a wrecked diesel pusher before. I own a heavy truck salvage yard. After you sell the engine, trans, tires and other bits you are left with a very big piece of wood and plastic that's worth noting that you have to dispose of. After I parted that one I said never again. You would be way better off to sell it whole.

Sell it whole. As a project. Somebody will snatch it up.

Craigslist.

Our rules do not permit buying and selling in the forums.

Please take all such discussions off line.

Thanks!
