I had 13.5 coleman units on front and back of my coach. I called coleman and they gave me the 15K BTU that would work with my circuit board and existing thermostat. I see my amp usage is about 2 amps more per unit, so I could run both units on a 30 amp circuit as long as I didn't run any other loads. My energy management system seems to keep everything going fine. Of course if you were on generator power you would have a different amp output according to your generator.
By the way the 15K BTU units makes a huge difference on cooling.

As long as you control what else you run, 30 amps should do it. But, limit other items. If it is a gas water heater, that's good. Refrigerator gas? Even better when trying to run AC and brew coffee. Trying to convert a 30 to 50 can be done, but most on here would advise against it.

My 335DS is a 50 amp coach, with a 15,000 BTU A/C. Runs fine on 30 amps, in fact, I think the 50 amp wiring is really for when a second A/C is added as an option.

My BSS is only 30 amps, with 15k Heat Pump. Like all 30 rv’s you do have to watch what you try to run at the same time. I think in the 3+ years of owning mine we had a breaker trip once maybe twice. If you do the swap, get the heat pump for heat in the cool nights and days. On my setup if you set it to run on HP it will automatically switch to furnace if it’s too cold for the hp to be effective.

Yes, you can use the 15K units on 30A service. You'll just be limited on what else you can use at the same time!
