I believe after watching in slow motion and freezing frames that it is in fact a blow out. Here is a pic just as everything begins. I have circled the tire debris that was NOT on road during the seconds prior.

I've seen this video many times now. Looks like it's filmed from a trucks dash cam on a beautiful May day with little traffic. Maybe the guy driving the big DP pulling a 5K lb toad ought not to be in the hammer lane passing in the first place. What would his speed be maybe 70-75? Erase 10-15 mph speed when disaster strikes and this might have had a different outcome.

Some say yes, some say no. Whatever you feel comfortable with. You'll never know until it happens to you, but who wants that? All I know is that if I had a blowout, I'd want to know that I did everything I could to prevent loosing control of the vehicle.
