Thumping sound from front end

We purchased a 2016 Winnebago Adventurer 38Q in May, 2016. The night we drove it home from the dealership we heard a thumping sound coming from the right front area. The next day while at Camping World having Safe-T-Plus and a rock guard installed I mentioned it to the installer. When he took it for the Safe-T-Plus test drive he also heard it and crawled underneath but wasn't able to find anything. We took it back to the dealership and after 2 weeks they said it was chassis related. Took it to Ford and had King Pins replaced, etc. Still have a thumping noise so they again checked it completely and said it is a builder issue. Needless to say, nothing is being done to correct the problem. It usually will begin anywhere between 20-40 mph and is consistent, never getting faster or slower. I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue and perhaps any information that might help.

Thumping sound from front end

Don't you just love how no one in this industry will take responsibility for anything? No matter what it is, it's got to be the other guys fault. We can't do anything for you. The RV Death Spiral is for real. (Google it.)

I hope you're able to get it fixed soon.

A little better description of the thumping sound might help. Is it s consistent, steady thumping like a tire or an occasional thump or knock? If it's steady, then look at tire and/or wheel bearing. If it's a non-steady thumping it could be a loose shock, a loose body panel or a number of other things.

We have a thumping on ours that seems yo come & go . When it starts , it's effected by bumps & dips , or even sway , than after a bit it goes away . I'm pretty sure on our case it's sway bar bushings . Plan to replace this spring .

I would look for something that the builder goofed up. If the speed of the thumping is constant thus not related to the speed of the vehicle you can pretty much discount wheels and engine and drivetrain.
I would go under it and start checking things that are bolted or welded on. Something is not right.
Alternatively maybe there is a problem with suspension component.

Does the thumping change when you are on a rough road?
Try a parking lot with speed bumps. See how it reacts to that.

Or best yet, since you just bought this from a dealer go back and tell THEM to resolve it.

Sway Bar bushings can make a thumping noise when you hit bumps, rough roads etc...and they are difficult to diagnose because they don't seem loose when inspected.

Take it back to the dealer you bought it from. Call and make an appointment, drop it off and tell them you I'll call in a couple of days to see how they made out with the repairs, be stern and polite. If you get no satisfaction then call Winnebago customer service for assistance. You bought the motorhome from the dealer and expect them to fix it. I just went through something similar, rv dealer had to order the part from the chassis dealer and fixed the problem in a short period of time.
