I am looking at the follow coaches and would like some input from owners as to which would be the best coach for the long term
Tiffin Allegro Bus
Newmar Dutch Star
Beaver Contessa
I look forward to all the good input I will receive.

I like Newmar and Tiffin, but personal preference will be the deciding factor in most cases.
The best coach for you may not be the best coach for others.
Either one of the first two, would be a good choice, IMHO.

I agree with Dirk. I have owned two Dutch Stars and I've been very happy with them. If I was looking to buy today I would look at both the Allegro Bus and the Dutch Star.

We looked real hard at Dutch Stars before buying our 2004 Allegro Bus. I'd have to say thatthe build quality on Tiffin and Newmar is pretty much neck and neck. We felt that we got more bang for the buck with Tiffin abnd they did have legendary service (although we've never had the need to test that out). But, the biggest reason for our choice was just a bunch of personal things - we preferred the decor, floor plans, exterior paint, etc of the Bus over the Dutch Star. These are all personal opinions so there's no right or wrong and your's may be different. You won't go wrong with either coach as long as you find the one that strikes your fancy.
Check them both out, drive them, kick some tires. You'll find the one that works best for you.

All good choices. The interior cabinetry on a Beaver is its strong suit and it now has Monaco factory service behind it. Newmars are always a good choice and Tiffin has some of the best customer service in the world, as well as producing solid value in their coaches.

Hi Jimmy,
If you are looking at new 2008 coaches I would test drive the Dutch Star with Comfort Drive. It is great! Newmar will give you a lot more options for specials in your coach and a lot more floor plans. When looking at a 2006 Allegro Bus I was told they could not even give me a basement freezer.
Thanks, Daryl

This is the last year for Newmar's exclusive use of Comfort Drive.
The 2009 model year should bring Column Drive to other manufacturers, and there will be a new improved twist to it.
TRW makes it and calls it Column Drive. Newmar calls it Comfort Drive (tm).
