Tiffin Still Have It?
Hello, everyone.
Getting ready to come back to the MH world after several years without. First and only MH was a Tiffin Allegro FRED 34TGA. Had it about 2 years and loved it.
Like many, I have a couple of "Bob Tiffin" stories and have spent time at Camp Allegro.
The question is, does Tiffin still have it? The only Tiffin dealer near us, I wouldn't set foot on their lot so I haven't been out to look at them. We are looking at a RED 38QRA.
Thanks.

I think that they do. There are lots of pleased customers of Tiffin (and many others) that you don't hear from. It is only the vocal minority that makes it seem like everyone makes junk anymore. Yes, there are people who have had problems with Tiffin, but so have Winnebago, Fleetwood, Newmar, Entegra, Thor etc.

I think tiffin is currently having growing pains to say the least, but it is a gamble on most any brand

Any issues with Bob's kids taking over? I remember the past stories about his first attempt to do so not being terribly successful.

Family run business would still be 100% better than corporate bean counter big business type

We just bought an Allegro RED 38QRA and are on our first trip with it. So far we've only had a couple of minor issues. We love the layout and the massive open interior.

We've stayed at over 150 parks in the past year, across the country, and have seen more Tiffen Pheatons and Allegros, new and very used, than any other brand or manufacturer. They must be doing something right.
And, if youre in the South/Southeast, theyre a lot closer than Elkhart. : )

Don't worry about the kids running things when Bob is out of the picture. They will sell the business to an investment banking group so fast it will make your head spin.

Bob Tiffin is the only CEO of a manufacture who goes to RV shows to support his product, I have watched too many shows of Under cover Boss to see that most CEO,s have no idea of how to run a business.

If you liked your Tiffin, go for it...to good a life to wait and wonder. For me, I'd look around at other dealers. There are a lot of good companies making quality coaches with great customer service.
But if you know the product and are comfortable with it; well, trust goes a long ways.

Tiffin?
We have a 2014 Allegro 36LA and have had too many problems to ever consider buying another Tiffin. They have serious QC problems and just came into contact w/ another Tiffin owner and his problems were off the chart. Look into Entegra. We will.

We are full timing and just bought a Allegro Red 37pa and couldn't be happier, yes we have had some issue's as you would expect in a new motor home but to this point no major problems. Very happy with Tiffin.

Buy the coach with the floor plan and colors the DW likes.

We recently purchased a 2011 Allegro Bus 36 QSP - Love IT!! First trip to the Grand Canyon and loved the ride and power - much better than our Damon that could barely make it up marginal grades. Great comforts and floor plan that works for us.
