Tiffin - to cover or not to cover?

We just bought a used Tiffin Allegro 30'. We don't have a garage for it.
Is it necessary to cover? I live SoCal will the sun ruin the tires?

I guess if mine were going to sit, I would cover it as I see the damage done to the rubber around my windows. For the tires, oh yea cover those expensive puppies.

Oh, and

There are several thoughts on covering a motor home. Cover the tires for sure. That will prolong their useful life. A lot of people buy covers for their RV's and cover them............once. After the first time climbing up on top, laying it out, and getting it secured down is usually enough to convince most that it's not worth it. One slip up there could ruin a lot of days. Then they discover some areas that the cover marred the finish from the wind moving it so slightly. A better option is to keep it clean and give it a good waxing with a product containing UV protection an least once a year and maybe twice in your climate. Then, when you want to take an impromptu trip, you pull the wheel covers, throw in some food, clothes, etc and hit the road.

Necessary? Just depends on what shape you want to keep it in.

I have a cover on mine, takes no time to install. It also keeps the
inside cooler. If you park under trees like I do,the top was getting stained
by leaves.Not anymore.Hope this helps.

If able, covered storage is the way to go...worth every cent.
