Tiffin vs. Monaco

What's your preference and why? Current choices are...

Looked at a nice 03 Tiffin Phaeton today, 30k miles, very nice condition, needs new rear tires and house batteries. $75K

04 Monaco, excellent, 50k miles, new tires & batteries, new TV's...$70K

Any sage advise appreciated.

What model is the Phaeton? What model is the Monaco? How many slides? Options, etc.? Then we can see if we can compare apples to apples.

Look concerned, look like you really care, look like you are very carefully comparing features and options...then get the one the D/W likes.

You will need to register (free) to view forum but classifieds are 'open' at:
tiffinrvnetwork.com - there are several similar units to compare with. An 03 for $66K. Another 03 is $87.5k Both are 40 ft; ours is 2003 -35rh if you have a more specific question.Sorry not knowledgeable about Monaco.

Tiffin and Monaco both make mostly good, some OK, and a few not good coaches. Five years ago 9 out of 10 would have said Monaco was higher on the pecking order, but there have been big issues at Monaco like going broke and not honoring warranties. But new Monaco is a going concern and last time I saw Tiffin and Monaco at a RV show together it seems like they both were about equal in quality for dollar spent.

Be specific and say which particular models you are looking at. If it is a Monaco Signature there is no comparison. Choose them, but let us know what model.

Actually, you do not have to register to view the TiffinRVNetwork Classified Ads - Home Page site. You only have to register to place an ad.

How about this one. This is a Bus with better features than the Phaeton and a more powerful engine (350 Cummins)
