Timing - When is the best time of year to buy a used RV

So eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later, I'll be buying a used MH. If the timing for when to buy during the year is flexible, what time of the year is best to visit the big 3 dealers to increase the chances of the best deal?

The best time may depend on where you are geographically. In my part of the world, Michigan, sales seem to be strong in the spring and fall. Spring because everyone wants to RV, and fall for those considering the "snowbird" style of life and wanting to head south.

When you find a rig you like, and can afford it, whatever time of year it is at that point is the best time of year to buy

It seems that in the Fall (Hershey Show) and Winter (Tampa Super Show) and the spring (local shows) are when most new coaches are sold. I would expect that there are coaches traded in or for sale by private owners most months of the year. Just keep a sharp eye out for your floor plan of interest and plan on traveling to see them.

You may want to consider generating a list of what your interested in and distribute it to various dealers around the US. I'm willing to bet that most used coaches are sold before they actually hit the dealership lot. That's how we aquired ours.
