Tip out Linked to radio?
I went in to my 2000 Coachmen and the radio was making a weird clicking noise and would not respond to any button pushing. The only way it would stop is if I unplug at the back of radio. At the same time I needed to move the slide out and it would only move out but to pull it in I had to bump the switch. It moved about an inch each time until it was in. After playing with it a couple times it quit altogether. Thinking my radio was shot I pluged another radio in to the old radio wire harness and the front screen blinked but no radio. I tested the plug and it only had about 8v on the hot feed so I went farther down to the original Ford plug that the aftermarket radio provided and it read 13.55v. Something wrong with the connection from Ford plug to the radio plug. I put a jumper from the ford plug (black wire) to the red feed line to the radio (bypassing the plug with the hot) and I had radio. My wife said lets try the slide now and hit the button and the slide worked perfectly. I pulled the jumper off and it quit. So some how the hot 13.55 going into the radio is feeding or making a complete circuit with the slide. WHAT Anyone got any imput.
