Snap-on tire shades. 95% UV protection. And does not blow off of the tire. And does not trap moisture around the tire in humid/wet climates.
That, AND 303 protectant.

In an attempt to bring this thread back on track  I will say yes. We tend to stay in places for long periods of time and will cover the tires any time we are in one spot for a week or more.

We are also in the "yes we use them" category. UV is never good for tires, and covers are super easy to put on and take off. Cheap protection if you ask me.

I can't tell you it makes any difference but for my piece of mind I use covers. I sprayed my rubber rear axle air bags with a popular UV protector and they never see the sun and they cracked like crazy. (?)

I use them for the six months we're home. On the road I keep 303 generously applied.

I cover mine when ever parked for 3 or more days. Recently replaced 8 year old Michelin XRV's with no weather cracks/checking.

If you are in the 5 to 7 year replace them, rich $$$ group. No need to cover them.
If you want them to last from 8 to 10 years, for a lower cost $$$ per year, then cover them.

For those that use 303' how do you apply to the inside dual and the sides facing inward? I'm not about to belly crawl to do that. Covers for me to keep the UV rays at bay.

Can anyone tell us why in our travels in life we only see "tire covers" on RV'S ? I have never seen tire covers on anything else. Is it just a RV thing? Todays 20" tires on auto's are getting really expensive, does anyone cover them when not in use outside? When I replaced the Michelin's on my Coach w/29,000 miles on them 9 years old visual appearance was great, no rot or cracks, replaced due to age. No covers here. I guess another subject that is personal preferance.

Should tires be covered if it I'd housed in a covered shed? My coach is covered on three sides. The shed is only open on rear. All tires are under roof.

I spray my tires with Zaino Tire Shine (with UV protectors) and cover them. I believe it's helped.
