Tire Covers

I am re-creating this thread bc I can not figure out how to search for existing threads. Anything I have tried does not work. Anyway, I am looking for tire/wheel covers for protecting the wheels and tires of my Bounder. I get a measurement of about 38in across the center of the tire on the rear. Simple, right? The wheels themselves don't enter into it. The front however, the wheel is proud of the tire causing a "bump out". Do you account for this by ordering a larger size?

Tire cover sizes account for the shape of the wheel cover. Go to camping world and match up your tire with the pictures on the box.

And on cue the camping world haters will pile on.....

The box will have the outside tire diameters on them. I had to get the OS size.

I really like the Adco 3966 covers. We have been using a set for 4 years and they are beginning to get brittle, so will be ordering new ones soon. You can get these for most any size tires. They are well-made and the colors matched our MH well!

That's a GREAT idea! A little pricey, but may be worth it!

I have 2 Magne Shade tire covers on order, arriving tomorrow. Currently have 4 deluxe XL covers on the rear tires. Needed 2 more covers when went with newer MH that had a tag axle and the clearances were tight in the front with the tire covers I had, so I took a chance on the pricey Magne Shades. Will report back.

I bought these and really like them. Very easy to install and seem to be a good quality material.

They are typical Magne Shade...expensive but very nice. They are custom made to fit the size tires you have. Some how my order got mixed up, one call and a new set for the back six wheels were being made. Came shortly thereafter and fit perfectly.

I also like the SnapRing due to ease of install/remove.

I have bought about 6 sets of these. Take a tape and measure around the tire which gives you the diameter. Check the boxes or ebay for the diameter size and you are good to go.

The Magne Shade covers are sexy and would nice for someone who covers their tires while camping. I only cover mine at home and part of the reason for covering the is to also protect the rim from dirt and sun. Just a thought before you buy.

The Snap Ring covers are also nice, they eliminate that fight to get the cover over the back of the tire.

Another recommendation for the MagneShade covers. Although I never thought of mine as "sexy".
