Tire Hazard Policies
I have been investigating MH tire hazard warranty programs.
My results have been less than stellar.
All of the providers I have researched have much in common, except for price.
All of the policies are described as “Road Hazard” policies.
They all require that the coverage is for damage (blowout, etc.) to the “tread” from a road hazard. None will cover any damage to the sidewall. Damage from leaking tire of any form isn’t covered. Damage from leaking valve stem isn’t covered. Most exclude any damage on any unpaved road.
These exclusions are very restrictive and would they seen to make these policies unattractive.
I’d be interested to know if anyone has had a blowout from the defined road hazard (pot hole, bump, etc.).
I have determined that a TPMS is a better solution to this issue. I’ll appreciate your comments.
Good Luck!
